Positive Youth Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Gen22 programme, which is funded by The National Lottery.
The primary aim of the Gen22 programme is to boost the long-term employment prospects of 16–24-year-olds in the West Midlands through meaningful social action projects, giving them access to purposeful opportunities and networks and raising their aspirations.
Young people’s social action is a cross-cutting theme embedded into all programme areas within PYF, helping young people’s voices to be heard and responded to by decision-makers. Young people will take part in a 30-hour social action assignment with a creative and cultural theme to help promote and showcase the excitement and benefits of having the Commonwealth Games in their locality.
The young people will aim to empower their communities and support them to take advantage of the benefits the games bring to the region and help to solidify the legacy of hosting such a large sporting event.
